About Hello, Adversity
Hello, Adversity is a newsletter for anyone dealing with a major life challenge, whether it’s a disease diagnosis, the passing of a loved one, the loss of a job, or another hardship.
When life shakes us to our core, it can be hard to function, let alone find a way to move forward. Hello, Adversity provides the resources and strategies you need to face life’s obstacles and cultivate resilience.
Whether you are adjusting to a difficult new reality or you want to better handle the daily grind of life, Hello, Adversity is here to help.
What subscribers receive
Every other Wednesday, I publish an in-depth newsletter highlighting a different resilience strategy. Occasionally, I will share a personal story of a time in my life when I encountered adversity. Some of my most popular articles include Breaking Free of the Comparison Trap, We All Have a Story to Tell, and Advice for the Tough Times.
Every Saturday, I publish The Resilience Response, a newsletter that provides the tools and frameworks you need to face adversity with confidence.
All posts are paywall-free, including the archive. If you would like to support my work and keep this site available for everyone, a paid subscription tier is available.
My story
I’m Chris Anselmo and I live with an adult-onset muscle disease called Limb-girdle muscular dystrophy type 2B (LGMD2B). For the last fifteen years, I have dealt with adversity every day as I have grown progressively weaker. This disease has upended my life and forced me to build new dreams after my previous ones shattered.
For a long time, I have wanted to create the resource I wish I had found when my world came crashing down. Everything I write on Hello, Adversity is with this goal in mind.
