It's like you have ESPN ;-) I'm working on my third book, my first fiction one, and I spent the week in a mental knot working through a major plot point that I missed in my initial planning :-( I was able to extricate myself from it but I experienced severe imposter syndrome.
I would also recommend as you are writing, go back and read some of the passages you thought were the best examples of your work. That will maybe give you a little confidence to keep going. Can't wait to read it!
Great practical tips, Chris! Sometimes, struggling against imposter syndrome can amplify it and handcuff us more. I like Susan David's perspective, too: ' Acknowledge our inner critic and its warnings and then still move forward, motivated by our values, despite our fear and doubt.' Courage, walking forward despite the fear, can help us learn more and eventually mute some of those imposter syndrome voices.;-). I'm still learning!
That penguin GIF is the best 😂 Thanks for the great tips for helping combat imposter syndrome.
Thanks Jackie!
"It’s a map of New York when I’m in Chicago." This!!
I was going to say Boston but, I don't need a map for Boston 😀

^ I'm here for Robert's Mean Girls reference 😂
I'm NOT trying to make "fetch" happen!
Thanks Robert!
