I really love this piece Chris. I try to practice this when I am out and about. I’m going to work on my consistency though. It really is a better way to go through life. A great reminder for anyone experiencing the February blah’s.

And very sorry for the loss of your uncle, Chris.

Thanks Kim, I appreciate that.

February blahs are a good way to put it!

I agree, I also get the "February blahs", is always been my least favorite month and feels like the longest, even though it's shorter than all the other months of the year.

Focusing on the "tiny joys" as someone else posted recently (forgive me for not remembering their name! I'll look them up and edit this post if I can) is a tremendous help for me.

I also appreciate the February traditions in Europe where I live, especially the gastronomic rituals that accompany them: flipping crêpes with a coin in one hand on Candlemas (Feb 2nd), making beignets for Mardi Gras & Carnaval (usually sometime around mid February), commemorating your loved one with sweets on Valentine's day (Feb 14)...I think I'm going to look up more of those February traditions to see what else I can celebrate this month 🙂

February is a limbo period between New Year's and spring. At least it's a good food month!

Sincerest condolence on your loss. Thank you for this post... Not only did I laugh out loud, it actually came right at a "darkest hour before the dawn" moment for me and was such a good reminder of how to reset with consistency. Appreciate you.

I'm so sorry for your loss, Chris. And I'm sorry that it's so close to another hard date. Your post reminds me of the maxim, "Don't mistake my kindness for weakness." When I come across such a person, I briefly let them have a glimpse at my dark side so can get the conversation back on track. LOL. Sending you and yours love and peace. xo

Thanks Sandra Ann. The entire time I wrote this I thought about your reaction to it. That's why i added the line that it's not meant to be toxic positivity lol

I didn't get a hint of that TPBS. I knew exactly what you meant. And sorry if I was haunting you! I don't like to be annoying like that. Annoying in other ways, sure, but not like that. LOL. xo

I’m late to the comment party, but wanted to drop by and say how fantastic this piece was, Chris. So well-researched and thought-provoking! These lessons are going to stick with me, for sure.

Your tribute to Carly was exceptionally meaningful, and I know the tribute to your uncle will be, too. ❤️

Beautifully written, Chris - Nir's story was so inspirational! I had a similar thing where simply sending out a couple of cold emails completely changed my career trajectory!

Really like this approach to nurturing positivity in our lives :)
