I wouldn't be surprised if rage rooms were inspired by the classic printer-destruction scene from Office Space! 😂

The "frenemy" piece hit home, not because I've ever had fremenies per se, but because the same phenomenon exists in relationships that are—for one reason or another—hot and cold. As I've grown up, I've shedded personal and professional ties with people who treat me inconsistently, and that's undoubtedly increased my day-to-day feelings of security and contentment.

I was THIS close to including a link to that scene! But then I realized it's super NSFW, and I think my friend's kids read this site. I did find a censored version of the clip but it's basically just instrumental music and bleeps lol. But that is one of my favorite movies of all time.

I first saw that movie on an airplane as a little kid, and revisiting the uncensored version later, I was like...wow, they had to cut out half this movie to make it suitable for an all-ages crowd 🫠

I'm pretty sure it's just TPS reports, one piece of flair and the credits.

Lawn gnomes are an excellent choice! And if there's a market for failure memoirs, I'll happily submit mine and title it, All My F**k Ups, Vols I and II and III. And, instead of a smash room, I'll offer the punk classic by The Damned, "Smash It Up". It's pop punk rebellion, and one of my faves. xo https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b4G0ZP13eVU
