I’ve really missed you these past few weeks. I’m glad that I took some time off — it was restorative in many ways and it was nice to spend time with family — but I’m eager to get back to writing. I will return next Wednesday with a new post. Stay tuned!
In the meantime, I wanted to check in with everyone to see if there are any topics you’d like me to write about over the next few months. What are you struggling with? What is something you want to learn more about? Let me know in the comments, or if you’d rather not share with everyone, you can respond to this email.
To see what I’ve already covered — since many of you are new — you can check out my resource guide here. That said, just because I’ve written about a topic already doesn’t mean I can’t write about it again! There are many things to say about failure, asking for help, impostor syndrome, etc. that can’t be covered in one post.
I look forward to hearing from you. Have a great rest of the week!
Hi Chris- glad you’re back. Just write about how you experience the world.. how you are doing, what you see and how it feels. Whatever you are writing has been wonderful to read.
Hi Chris! Welcome back. I'd love to hear how you recognize when you're overperforming or exerting and how you go about tapering to a more sustainable energy level... asking for a friend obviously
To answer question 3, I like to make a list of things I want to do that are fun. For me, it's usually what books I want to read. The problem is going in and you don't know what to do, so you inevitably drift back to all the things you were trying to avoid (social media, etc.)
That is SUCH sage advice!! I love this list idea. My bday is coming up in August and I’m planning on taking a few days off work and LYFE. I’m going to start my list crafting now. I’ll report back! 🙏
Hi Chris, I’ve clicked on your ‘here’ link which took me to the page of your articles, then when I click on the links there, I’m just bounced back to the same page, not the article. Hope that makes sense. I tried a few links but not all, and thought you should know
Thanks Tracey. Are you talking about the list of links at the top (where it says "My story", "Discussion Threads", "Getting Help", etc.) or further down?
I just took a look at the links and I didn't see anything out of the ordinary. Perhaps you were talking about the links at the top of the page? If so, those are links that are meant to take readers to that section on the page. So if you click on "Getting Help" it will jump down the page to that particular section.

Thanks Teyani! I think that should be doable :)

Hi Kat! Thanks for the suggestion. To clarify - do you mean when I'm working too hard and finding a more sustainable energy level so I don't burn out?
Yes, exactly. I’m curious about your personal stories or any unusual tips for slowing down
I wrote something along these lines back in January. Let me know if this hits the mark! (I'm happy to write about it again too :))

Welcome back Chris. I guess one idea would be to do a piece on how you recharged during your break.
Thanks Naush. I think I'm going to explore this the week after next!
He's BACK!
Get out your post-it notes, I have several requests.
Starting with:
HOW WAS YOUR TIME AWAY??
What did you do?
Was it restorative?
How do you advise people approach the great "unplug" these days?
And perhaps most importantly, DID YOU MISS US??
HOW WAS YOUR TIME AWAY?? Good
What did you do? Spent time with my sister and her kids, and took lots of naps.
Was it restorative? Yes and no. Will discuss next week.
How do you advise people approach the great "unplug" these days? I'd first ask, what does this mean?
And perhaps most importantly, DID YOU MISS US?? I missed my paid subscribers.
Just kidding I missed all of you!
1. So happy to hear- I love naps.
2. I’ll stay tuned.
3. How do you take a break, is what I’m asking ( like how do you commit to the break?)
4. Understandable
Happy Saturday!
😀

yay! I love lists.

It’s not working that way for me but it’s ok though, I’ll just scroll down and read them that way instead 😊
Okay, sorry about that. They work on my end so I'm not sure what happened. But thanks for letting me know.
Yes it’s the links at the top and when I click on them, it scrolls to the top of the page, it doesn’t take me to the article 🤔
