Hi everyone!
I’m back.
It’s been a busy few weeks, which is why I felt it was best to take the month of April off.
I had several things I needed to take care of. Adjusting to a new pet. (More on that later.) Outlining a keynote talk I want to give. But most of all, working on my book. The timeline was starting to lag, and I needed to catch up.
You see, a couple months ago, I got it into my head that I wanted to have my book published by my 40th birthday in September. (For those unfamiliar, my book — title TBD — is a compilation of life lessons from my rare disease journey.) Up to this point, I was resistant to setting a deadline; I blew past all the other ones and didn’t need the extra disappointment. But the idea of having a published book in my hands as I’m blowing out birthday candles was simply too alluring.
